Research Services
Chalk it up to being an English
major. I've always loved doing research, whether for a 40-page college
thesis on the novelist Joseph Conrad or for The Industry Standard's
business plan (I did much of the competitive research prior to the
launch of the magazine and helped develop models to prove the size and
clout of the Internet industry).
My
work style is highly interactive and collaborative with clients. I
believe strongly in developing a complete understanding of a project or
research area and will strive to present the most accurate portrait of a
market, product or business opportunity based on the research I have
conducted or data I have analyzed. I also believe strongly that some of
the most important research comes from conversations with a client, to
fully understand the client’s needs, goals and opportunities.

Produced a report analyzing the psychographics of people who buy
luxury homes in ski resorts and recommending marketing strategies.

several short articles explaining how to buy consumer technologies
including portable digital media players, MP3 players, home theater
systems and photo printers.

Developed research studies evaluating usage of various Internet
technologies. Worked with outside survey firm to field research.
